Zagreb City Gasworks approved HRK 2.3 million to strengthen cyber security

- The European Commission approved our affiliated company – Zagreb City Gaswork just over 2.3 million kuna (316,463 Euro), for an information security strengthening project. The funds were approved under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF Telekom), a fund intended for investment in digital infrastructure projects of the European Union in the field of transport, energy and digital technology. The contract with the Executive Agency for Innovation and Networks (INEA), a signatory on behalf of the European Commission, co-financed 75 percent of the project amount worth more than 3.1 million kuna.
Let us remind you, Zagreb City Gaswork performs the regulated energy activity of gas distribution. It is a leading company in gas distribution in Croatia, whose business is fully in line with European practice of high standards of quality, protection and safety.

As part of the implementation of the Quality, Environmental and Energy Policy, it implements measures to improve the integrated quality management and environmental protection system according to ISO 9001: 2015 (first confirmed in May 2005) and ISO 14001: 2015 (confirmed in December 2014) and management energy according to the standard ISO 50001: 2018 (confirmed in November 2016), and in November 2019, the system of occupational health and safety according to ISO 45001: 2018 was integrated and confirmed. City Gasworks Zagreb is also the holder of an internationally recognized certificate for performing welding work according to the standard HRN EN ISO 3834-3: 2018, obtained for the first time in November 2010. The certified area is the production of steel and polyethylene gas pipelines and house connections, as well as the production of light steel structures.
